Summary

Thank you for joining us for the 2025 Midwest Wheelchair Tennis Championships. We have hosted this event for more than 30 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We strive to provide an exciting tournament with fun social activities that our guests will anticipate returning to each year. Our generous sponsors, volunteers, and a beautiful hosting site make this possible. We look forward to seeing old friends, making new ones, and watching some great tennis! A special welcome to our first-time participants and returning players.

If you are a beginner novice player, please contact thomas.flynn@maryfreebed.com to register for both the FREE clinic and the mini tournament.

Prize Money across all Adult Divisions

Entry Fee: $95 for USTA Division, $70 for Para Standing Division, . Scholarships will be available for all junior players! Deadline to apply is June 21st!!

The entry fee includes the tournament fee, up/down social reception, dinners on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, lunches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The entry fee does not include hotel accommodations.

Entry deadline: All USTA Division entries, including Parastanding Divisions, must be submitted by June 30.

Start of Play:

Thursday evening, July 10th - Up/Down Social 6 - 8 p.m. If you would like to participate in the Up/Down Social please reach out to Tom Flynn at Thomas.Flynn@maryfreebed.com. Space is limited and is on a First Come/First Served basis.

Friday morning, July 11th - Match play begins for USTA Open, USTA Lettered divisions, and Para Standing divisions starting at 9 a.m.

Friday late afternoon, July 11th - Junior Novice/Beginner wheelchair clinic 4 - 6 p.m.

Saturday morning, July 12th - Match play continues for USTA Open, USTA Lettered divisions, and Para Standing divisions starting at 9 a.m.

Saturday evening, July 12th - Player party will be held at 6pm at the Country Inn and Suites at 3251 Deposit Drive in Grand Rapids.

Sunday, July 13th - Finals starting at 9 a.m.

Meals included: 3 Dinners, 3 Lunches. Individual meals can be purchased on-site (Gluten Free and Vegetarian options). Limited amount of continental breakfast items available on courts. Refreshments are also available for all players.

Transportation: Will be provided transportation to and from the Gerald R. Ford international Airport to the tournament hotels and to the venue. Please submit travel arrangements during registration or as soon as possible to Thomas.Flynn@maryfreebed.com, including flight number, airline, and arrival/departure times and dates by June 30th, 2025. If travel arrangements are not submitted by June 30th, transportation from Gerald R. Ford International Airport is not guaranteed.

Amenities: Athletic trainer and repair Station on-site during tournament play. Racquet Stringer is available daily.
