Thank you for joining us for the 2023 Midwest Wheelchair Tennis Championships. We have hosted this event for more than 30 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We strive to provide an exciting tournament with fun social activities that our guests will anticipate returning to each year. Our generous sponsors, volunteers, and a beautiful hosting site make this possible. We look forward to seeing old friends, making new ones, and watching some great tennis! A special welcome to our first-time participants and returning players.

$5,000 in Prize Money across all Adult Divisions

 

Entry Fee:  $90 for USTA Division, $30 for USTA Junior Players (sanctioned event), $70 for Para Standing Division, FREE for beginner/novice junior players. Scholarships will be available for all junior players! Deadline to apply is June 21st!!

The entry fee includes the tournament fee, up/down social reception, dinners on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, lunches on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The entry fee does not include hotel accommodations.

USTA Sanctioned Wheelchair Tennis Players will need to complete payment through the USTA website using this link, as well as this Entry Form by clicking the link above.

Unsanctioned Junior Novice/Beginner Wheelchair and Para Standing Players will need to complete the Entry Form by clicking the link at the top of this page.

Guest/Coach Single Meal Tickets: $10 for each meal ticket. Click here to pre order. Meal tickets can be picked up at the Mary Free Bed Registration tent. 

Entry deadline: All USTA Division entries, including Parastanding Divisions, must be submitted by June 30

Start of Play: 

Thursday evening, July 6th  - Up/Down Social 5 - 8 p.m. 

Friday morning, July 7th -  Match play begins for USTA Open, USTA Lettered divisions, and Para Standing divisions starting at 9 a.m. 

Friday late afternoon, July 7th - Junior Novice/Beginner wheelchair clinic  4 - 6 p.m. 

Saturday morning, July 8th - Junior Novice/Beginner mini tournament 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Match play continues for USTA Open, USTA Lettered divisions, and Para Standing divisions starting at 9 a.m.

Saturday evening, July 8th - Player party will be held at the tournament site

Sunday, July 9th - Finals starting at 9 a.m. 

Meals included: 3 Dinners, 3 Lunches. Individual meals can be purchased on-site (Gluten Free and Vegetarian options). Limited amount of continental breakfast items available on courts. Refreshments are also available for all players. 

Transportation: Will be provided transportation to and from the Gerald R. Ford international Airport to the tournament hotels and to the venue. Please submit travel arrangements at time of registration, or to jwassenmfb@yahoo.com, including flight number, airline, and arrival/departure times and dates by June 30th, 2023. If travel arrangements are not submitted by June 30th, transportation from Gerald R. Ford International Airport is not guaranteed.  

Amenities: Athletic trainer and repair Station on-site during tournament play. Racquet Stringer is available daily.
